Fees/Costs:
Cash or EFT payments:
- Cash or EFT payments are at a reduce rate of R950 for a 50-minute session.
- Clients belonging to a medical aid scheme can submit their paid account to their medical aid afterwards.
- The fee will increase annually on the first of August.
Online Sessions:
- Please not that not all medical aid schemes pay for online sessions and some medical aid schemes may ask for proof of reason why online sessions were decided upon.
Medical Aid clients:
- If a client wishes the practice to submit the claims, the session will be charged according to the medical aid scheme rates.
Sessions missed or cancelled in less than 24 hours before the session:
- If an appointment is not kept or cancelled in less than 24 hours before the appointment, without proof of emergency (medical emergency/family emergency), the session will be charged to the client’s own account.
- No medical aid scheme covers appointments not kept or late cancellations.
Management of claims and invoices:
- All medical aids claims, and invoices, are managed by Shonese Pillay & Associates (Pty) – Claim Assist and can be contacted at: info@claimassist.co.za or 084 533 2391 or 010 475 0171
Please note:
- It remains the responsibility of the client to determine whether the medical aid scheme covers sessions with a clinical psychologist.
- Payment ultimately remains the responsibility of the person(s) utilising the services.
- In the case of individuals younger than 18 years of age, the consenting parent(s) or guardians(s) are responsible for settling any outstanding payments.
